Yesterday the pools for the Road to Evo tournament in Cologne, Germany were announced. There are 78 entrants for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition which are divided in 6, 10-man poules and 2, 9-man poules (4 people can qualify for the double elimination bracket). Street Fighter x Tekken has 42 entrants and marvel 24 entrants . Also the Fightclub team announced that Rolento is banned in Street Fighter x Tekken because of the gamefreezing kunai glitch. We heard about him earlier when he beat poongko in a chinese tournament and he made a very strong impression with his fellow chinese player Dakou at the recent shadowloo showdown . Xiao hai uses cammy and goes up against an evil ryu, a seth and a sagat player . His combos, mixups and reaction are all on point check out the video after the break.
Capcom, Gamemania and Prog4mer are worked together to hold a special Super Street Fighter 4 championship event for the Benelux in celebration of Street Fighters 25th anniversary . A Dutch tournament was held in Almere on the 28th of April and another tournament was held in Merkens on the 5th of May (Belgium ) . These two tournaments will produced 4 finalist, two from each tournament who fought for the title of Benelux strongest Super Street Fighter 4 player in the finals held on the 12th of May. The 4 finalist where SDL|Doomdomain (NL), Momi(NL), Kenpachi (BE) and Keftaroz (BE). SDL|Doomdomainn had to face the runner-up of the tournament in belgium ” Keftaroz ” first
The upcoming Roosendaal Ranbat 10 ( RSD 10) on the 27th of May is looking to be bigger than ever. This edition will not only include some of the Netherland’s best players but also players from Belgium such as Kenpachi, CCL, CEVO, Phenix, SLS and Keftaroz and TR|Sheva and TR|Yougenius from Germany. The event inlcludes games such as Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition and will be streamed by Martijn from lowlandlions.
